Awards:

Native Cultures Fund Grant:  May-Dec. 2010:  Awarded a grant to produce art for and to assist in curating  a Karuk tribal Art and Culture exhibition at the Clarke Museum in Eureka and the Karuk Tribe’s Peoples Center in Happy Camp, CA.   

Native Cultures Fund Grant:  April-June 10 2010:  Awarded a grant to work with Zane Middle School students in the Native American Club in Eureka, CA., to create a mural panel depicting local Native  culture.   

Northcoast  Advancing the Arts Grant:  Wiyot Mural Project: July/August 2008.  Awarded a grant to work with Wiyot Native Youth at Table Bluff Wiyot Reservation, to create an art mural panel depicting Wiyot culture to be displayed in front of the Wiyot Cultural Center.

Native Cultures Fund Grant: Community Partnerships with Native Artists (Humboldt Area Foundation) recipient: 2006-2008. To partner with two local Native youth groups, UIHS Teen Advisory Group and the American Indian Academy at McKinleyville High School to create mural panels depicting aspects of local Native culture to promote healing in our communities.

Native Cultures Fund Grant (Humboldt Area Foundation) recipient: 2005-June 2006. Awarded to work on illustrations for traditional story book project and for assisting in development of art business.

Cultural Capital Grant recipient: June 2005-June 2006. Awarded from First Peoples Fund and Capital Grant to work on an art project related to Native culture and community.

2004 Community Spirit Award recipient: Annual award from First People’s Fund to Native artists for their contributions to community, culture, traditions, and people as a mentor and teacher.

Sing Me Your Story, Dance Me Home:  Traveling Art exhibition of California Native artists 2007-2011. The exhibit traveled to various museums, cultural centers and galleries throughout California and ended at the Pequot Museum in Connecticut.
